Our Story
The West Coast Gaming Summit was born from a simple yet powerful vision in 2018, when four gaming industry veterans recognized the need for a West Coast event that could bridge the gap between industry professionals and passionate gamers. Founded by Alexandra Chen, former marketing director at a major AAA studio, the summit began as a modest gathering of 200 attendees in a small venue in downtown Los Angeles.
What set the event apart from the beginning was its dual focus on business networking and consumer engagement. Unlike purely industry events or fan conventions, the WCGS created a unique space where developers could showcase their work to both potential business partners and end users simultaneously, gathering invaluable feedback and building community connections.
By 2022, the summit had grown to over 5,000 attendees and moved to the Los Angeles Convention Center. Today, as we prepare for our 2026 edition, the West Coast Gaming Summit has established itself as the premier gaming event on the West Coast, attracting over 15,000 attendees, 250+ exhibitors, and industry luminaries from around the globe.
